Stella’s Springs Things: Sept 23 – 29

Looking for something fun to do in Colorado Springs this week? Fall events are in full swing, and there’s something for everyone!

First up, if you’re a fan of autumn, you won’t want to miss the 3rd Annual Falcon Harvest Festival! Enjoy live music by Alyssa Ruffin and her band, bounce houses, hayrides, face painting, and more! With 120+ vendors, 20 food trucks, a fall photo op, and even a visit from the fire department and sheriff’s office, there’s plenty to see. And don’t forget your FREE pumpkin per family! This festival has become a regional favorite, so make sure to stop by on Saturday.

Wishing Star Farm Festival kicks off tomorrow and runs through October 30th, offering plenty of time for family fun! Open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to the public, the festival includes a pumpkin patch, jump pad, hayrides, barrel train rides, a petting zoo, hay pyramid, and hay slide. It’s the perfect way to soak in the fall season, and with so many activities, there’s something for everyone.

For something spooky, Witches & Ghouls Paddleboarding is happening Saturday at 9 AM at Quail Lake! Dragonfly Paddle Yoga is hosting this Halloween-themed paddleboarding event where you can wear your spookiest costume and paddle with fellow ghouls. The photos from last year were epic, and it’s bound to be just as fun this time around. Don’t miss out on this unique mix of eerie and serene fun!

If you’re craving some comedy, Colorado Springs has you covered! Loonees Comedy Corner is hosting its 2nd Annual Colorado Springs Comedy Festival from Wednesday through Saturday. With over 30 comedians performing and competing for the “Best of Fest” title, you’re guaranteed plenty of laughs. This adult-only event is 18+ on Wednesday and Thursday, and 21+ on Friday and Saturday, so be ready for some edgier material. Head over to Loonees on North Academy for a night full of fun!

For a comedy event with a cause, check out “Silver Buckles and Endless Chuckles” at Boot Barn Hall this Saturday! This 90s country-themed event benefits Special Kids Special Families, an organization that helps children and adults with disabilities. Hosted by celebrity comedian K-Von, known for MTV’s Disaster Date and NBC’s Last Comic Standing, this event also features a silent auction. Laughter for a great cause—what’s not to love?

And lastly, it’s the 3rd Annual Oktoberfest at Goat Patch Brewing Company! From 11 AM to 11 PM Saturday, enjoy Stein Hoist Competitions, a Dog Costume Contest, and even a Wiener Toss (think egg toss, but with hot dogs – I think?!). Plus, sample their special Oktoberfest brews, grab bites from Ciao Down and Mondal’s food trucks, and enjoy live music from 5-8 PM.

Not to be outdone, Black Forest Brewing Company is hosting their 7th Annual Black Forest Oktoberfest. Enjoy traditional Oktoberfest beers, a German Polka Band, and delicious German food. And if you missed the Stein Hoisting earlier, you’ll get another shot here on Saturday and Sunday!

Tune in for Stella’s Springs Things Monday through Friday during Mason in the Morning on Cat Country 95.1 around 8 am to hear all about what’s happening in the community. Plus, you can submit your event for consideration here.
