Car Enthusiast’s Dream Weekend: Cruisin’ OCC Car Show and Scenic Fall Drives in Colorado Springs

If you’re into cars, I’ve got some exciting news and ideas for a perfect car-themed weekend in Colorado Springs! I was actually trying to keep this first event under wraps – not because I wanted to gatekeep, but because I planned to surprise my boyfriend with something special this Saturday. But, as it turns out, I couldn’t keep the secret any longer, and now I’m spilling the beans to everyone!

Peak Performance Cruisin’ OCC Car Show

First up, mark your calendars for the Peak Performance Cruisin’ OCC Car Show this Saturday! Black Hand Entertainment is shutting down the streets of Old Colorado City for one of the biggest car events of the season. Whether you’re into muscle cars, imports, classics, or trucks, this event is open to all makes and models! It’s going to be a paradise for car enthusiasts, with tons of trophies, live music, and a variety of vendors and sponsors showcasing their products. This family-friendly event runs from 9 AM to 4 PM, and trust me, you won’t want to miss it. I’ll be there checking out all the cool rides and enjoying the festive atmosphere.

Scenic Fall Drives

If you want to extend your car-themed weekend, why not hit the road and enjoy Colorado’s stunning fall colors? It’s prime time for those scenic drives, and I found a fantastic list of the best Fall Color Day Trips from Colorado Springs, courtesy of Colorado Springs Mom Collective. Here’s the list, so you can choose your route:

  • Cottonwood Pass
  • Cripple Creek
  • Gold Belt Scenic Byway
  • Gold Camp Road
  • Golden Loop Historic Parkway
  • Independence Pass
  • Peak-to-Peak Scenic & Historic Byway
  • Pikes Peak Highway

Do you agree with this list, or do you have your own favorite fall drive? I’d love to know if you have a spot that’s not on the radar yet! Tune in and shoot me a text here in the studio at 719-715-0951 during Mason in the Morning weekdays 6-10 am.
